A visitor to this site, Mark Rockwell mentioned a Sur Ron variant that I had not heard of before. Teznic Products is located in Aurora, Ontario Canada. I’ve always felt that it was not only inevitable but healthy that the Sur Ron line of bikes would gain more dealer and aftermarket developers. The two wheel LEO (Light Electric Off Road) segment is in its infancy so companies that enter the industry are what I consider to be early adopters.

It will be very interesting to watch Teznic develop, hear actual user information about their products and bikes. Competition and expansion in this market benefits consumers as well as the product. Bravo!

  1. Mark, I sent a query to Teznic asking about their timeline on their bike but haven’t heard back yet. Their performance estimates and pricing are very tantalizing even if only within 75% of claims. This is the physical and performance size ebike I’ve been looking for and also the bike that Sur Ron can’t build because it would take sales away from both, their light bee and storm bee, the perfect tweener at 150# (to be seen). I could see going to any means to make a bike of such specs a street legal dual sport and the fact that they plan to use Honda components for seat, wheels etc. means that I’ll always have easy access for replacement parts for most breakable or consumables…Mark R.

    • Agreed it will be a wait and see game. Their ‘team‘ seems pretty deep, albeit not in the LEO industry but like the Neematic that has yet to actually be produced it remains to be seen. Fingers crossed for this LEO segment. The more actual product the better it is for not only the consumer, but the industry.

Homologation is a time consuming as well as expensive for manufacturers so it’s no wonder not many follow through for the USA. I hope Teznic as well as the FRX1 produce not only dirt only rides, but dual sports as well.
